Cheetah Print

My favorite little seven-year-old recently told me that "cheetah always goes with cheetah". Although I'm not sure that I would mix multiple cheetah printed items in a single outfit, she definitely has one thing right; cheetah is in. It's one of the few animal prints that seems to always be in fashion. Incorporate it into your wardrobe through single items of clothing, accessories or jewelry. Take a look at a few of my favorite cheetah print picks below.

Bedroom Design Reveal

After a lot of deliberation, placing orders, and finally receiving deliveries, our bedroom is pretty much complete (minus a few accents here and there). We went for an overall grey look with touches of purple, gold, black and white. The headboard is perfect for leaning against when reading or watching TV, and the oversized nightstands provide more storage then the average nightstand (which comes in handy in a teeny, tiny apartment). But my favorite part is the touch of gold that the table lamps and knobs provide! I've been very into the gold trend recently, and this was the perfect way to incorporate it into our space.

Like the look? Get the items here:

Headboard: West Elm Tall Grid Tufted Headboard (in Brushed Heathered Cotton, Gray Haze)
Nightstands: Safavieh American Home Cain End Table in Gray Overcast
Nightstand Knobs: Anthropologie Swirled Geode Knob in Pink
Table Lamps: Pacific Coast Lighting Geometric Tower 34" H Table Lamp with Drum Shade
Bedding: Target (discontinued, but get a similar look here)
Throw: Urban Outfitters Atlas Tapestry in black
Bedskirt: Greenland Home Fashions Diamond Cotton Quilted Bed Skirt
Clothing Rack: IKEA RIGGA Clothes Rack in White

Target: Faribault Woolen Mill

I may be a little late to the party, but I am very excited about the Target collection with Faribault Woolen Mill that is launching this Sunday, November 2nd. Faribault is an old-school wool company based in Minnesota and creates the most amazing wool products such as scarves, throws, and other various accessories. Their line through Target will still maintain their high quality, but at a fraction of the cost. I am most excited about the scarves and throws, and may even pick up a tote bag. With winter quickly approaching, it's the perfect time for a great wool scarf, or two, or three. Get on over to Target on Sunday to shop the collection!

Bedroom Update

Now that we are all settled into our new apartment, I decided that it was time to give our bedroom a bit of an overhaul. After much deliberation, we finally selected an upholstered headboard from West Elm. The simple rectangular shape and tailored tufting gives it a classic feel. I love the medium grey fabric and feel that it will really anchor the space.

Next came the Safavieh nightstands. They are relatively large (26"W x 26"H) which always feels better in a space then teeny, tiny little things on either side of the bed. They are a lighter shade of grey and will coordinate nicely with our existing Target bedding (#2). I am toying with the idea of buying new crisp white bedding, but that'll be a later addition.

Then I came across these amazing Geode knobs from Anthropologie and knew that they had to become a part of this room. We'll replace the little knobs on the nightstands with these beauties and it'll give them an entirely new look. To coordinate with the gold accents on the knobs, I wanted to bring in these tall, gold table lamps. Their funky shape and impressive height will allow them to become a focal point in the room.

Stay tuned for the final reveal!
