Fall into Winter Outfit
Like it or not it's getting colder by the day. It's time to break out our winter clothes and embrace the change of seasons. One thing that's helping me with the transition is an amazing new pair of Frye boots. I've been eyeing this particular pair for years now (I'm clearly not an impulse buyer), and I finally took the plunge and made the purchase. After deliberating what to wear them with, I decided that pairing this style of boot with skinny jeans and an over-sized chunky sweater is definitely the way to go. A simple shirt and coat finish off this comfortable outfit. Throw on a small crossbody bag and classic Ray-Bans and you're ready to brave the elements. Who knew that pretty new boots were all that's needed to make winter a little more bearable?

End of Summer Style
According to the popular saying, white pants are a style taboo once Labor Day has passed. So give your white pants a final run before putting them away until the next summer season rolls around. Whether you are heading to the beach or hanging by the pool this Labor Day weekend, celebrate the end of summer by looking the part. Top your white bottoms with a casual chambray shirt for a light and breezy look. Add coral and gold accessories to incorporate some color and finish off the outfit.

Casual Color Blocking
During a recent shopping trip I came across the perfect red pleated skirt (on sale!), and had to have it. After showing it to my fashion-forward mom, she informed me that its solid red color was perfect for the upcoming season, because color blocking is so "in" (as are mid-length pleated skirts, I'm told). After gaining this tid-bit of fashion knowledge, I began to notice the color blocking trend everywhere!
Being that my outfits generally consist of mostly neutrals, figuring out how to adopt this colorful new trend posed as a bit of a challenge for me. I decided to pair my new red skirt with a palette of colors that weren't too bright. This allowed me to customize color blocking in a way that works best for me. Pairing the red (reddish-orange, actually) skirt with a yellow top seemed to form a great color combo. Adding casual leather boots, a hint of turquoise, and a whole lot of gold accessories, really tied the entire outfit together.
I'll leave you with this tip: When following trends, make sure to stay true to your style by wearing trends in a way that works for you.
