Good Style Design Makeover
Good Style Design is getting a makeover! With new ideas brewing for the site, I decided that the look also needed a bit of an overhaul. Users will still be able to browse the completed inspiration boards that are currently featured on the site, and updated boards will continue to be posted. Custom inspiration boards will now be offered with the option of additional interior design services such as in-home consultations, floor plans, wallcovering and floorcovering selection, final installation, and more.

Sun Protection by Canopy New York
With Summer right around the corner, I have been in search of stylish sun protective clothing but haven't had much success (it would be much easier then reapplying sunblock every half hour!). Luckily, a friend and former colleague of mine, Erica Birmingham and her business parter Lewis Remele, are in the process of developing a new fashion company, Canopy New York, and have sun protection in mind. The company is starting out with a contemporary apparel line that features sun protective fabrics. Canopy New York's garments block 98% of UV rays, protecting skin from sun damage. The brand is made in the USA, with fabrics made in California from American-grown cotton and clothes produced in the Garment District in New York City.

Boots for Spring Showers
Today's rainy Spring day in New York got me thinking about how badly I need a great pair of rain boots. With so many stylish options out there these days, it's not hard to find the perfect pair. Choose wedges or heels for height, straps or laces for a biker-boot look, or simple waterproof ballet flats for a more girly feel. Invest in a pair that is made well and they should last for many seasons and a ton of rainy days to come. Don't let a few rain drops get in the way of good style!

Pillow Styles
As a designer I am always brainstorming ways to create something that will make life more beautiful. Recently I have been working on developing a line of handmade throw pillows, but need a second opinion (or three, or four) to focus my brand. I've narrowed down the "point of view" for my line to two different directions; natural and letters. To help me focus my vision I created inspiration boards for each look. Take a look and let me know which style you would prefer to see in your home. Sometime soon I will follow-up with images of my pillow line in the making!
